Mr_Nietzsche_ep5_01

Another Monday, so onto the next episode of Mr, Nietzche in the convenience store episode 5. In This episode we are finally, I mean finally introduced to a new character Shibata Ken, just four characters working in the store was not enough. This recap/ review will have spoilers for the episode you have been warned ahead of time. After a brief formal introduction they decide to call him Shibaken for short, now its time to show him the inner workings of the store. Watari goes first, showing him the proper way to scoop and taste the soup stock because according to him its the workers responsibility. After scooping up entirely to much food for it to be considered tasting, Matsu makes sure to tell Shiba that he can’t do that. We then move on to Nii, who explains to Shiba the proper way of stacking new produce so that customers take the oldest product. Lastly Matsu takes him to the manager to explain that even when he looks awake, he is actually asleep and not to freak him out haha. Continue reading

Mr. Nietzsche in the Convenience Store ep. 4

Mr_Nietzsche_ep4_01.JPG

Another Monday another episode of Mr. Nietzsche in the convenience store. Once again this review will have some spoilers for the episode. The vocabulary list is at the bottom, so just scroll down and take a look if you dont want any spoilers. This episode begins with Nii and Matsu dealing with rude customers who want to buy cigarettes. Their rudeness really bothers Nii in particular, until he comes to the realization that the more they smoke the closer they are to death and the closer they are to paying him for a funeral. Which is really morbid but hilarious, that’s one way to get over rude customers. Continue reading

tanaka_kun_ep01_02

Now for the review I’ve been looking forward to all week. I have been wanting to review this show for awhile now, but wanted to wait until more episodes came out for it, and now I’ve finally come around to doing it. I will try not to spoil all the funny parts in this review, but alas it will have some spoilers for the first episode. So if you haven’t watched it yet and hate spoilers scroll down to the bottom for the vocab list, its a simple list but it will be helpful when you do watch it.

Mr. Nietzche in the Convenience Store ep. 3

Mr_Nietzsche_ep3_01

Yay, on schedule this time *pats self on the back*.  Happy Memorial day to those in the states, to everyone else I hope your enjoying your Monday. Like the other reviews this review will have spoilers for the episode, so watch it and come back. This episode starts of with Matsukoma  admitting that he still likes plush toys and figures (who doesn’t?). Nii says that he didn’t think he would be the type to collect, but rather the type to not have a real job, which hits Matsukoma right in the gut. We also learn that Nii’s hobby is music and he plays the wooden fish, I have no idea what that is. Apparently in the manga they actually show his band, I hope that they show it in the show as well that would be funny. Continue reading

New series: Anime Reviews

Tanaka-kun is Always Listless

Hey there! starting every Saturday I will be posting Anime reviews, they will be done the same way I do drama reviews. I will  pick a series that I think is easy to understand, talk about each episode, and create a vocabulary list of words you should know to better understand each episode. The series will be slice of life heavy, as that’s what I’ve been watching the most of these days, and I think they have lots of good dialog to learn from. I hope that reading the reviews will be fun for all who follow my blog, or just so happen to drop by.   The first Anime series will be Tanaka-kun is Always Listless, which is available for free on cruncyroll! The series follows Tanaka, a high school boy who is always in a state of lethargy, no matter the situation, or the valiant effort of his friends! Stop by every Saturday morning for a new post! I hope you look forward to it!
